Dr Katherine Lavrencic is a Respiratory Physician practicing on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Katherine attained her Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Queensland University of Technology. She then moved to South Australia, attaining her Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Flinders University. She completed her specialty training in Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH). This was followed by an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship at the RBWH. She was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2022.

Katherine is a Staff Specialist at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and consults at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and Buderim Private Hospital. She has special interest in lung cancer and chronic airways disease with extensive experience with advanced bronchoscopic diagnostic and interventional techniques. She also has broad expertise in all areas of respiratory medicine.

Katherine is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, European Respiratory Society, Asian Pacific Society of Respirology, World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology and Lung Foundation Australia.
