Dr James Anderson graduated from the University of Queensland in 2008 and was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2017. Following specialist training he completed fellowships in Sleep Medicine and Advanced Lung Disease (including lung transplantation).
James’ main interests are lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary nodules, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary embolism (PE) and pulmonary hypertension (PH). He is a highly experienced physician who is skilled in bronchoscopy and pleural procedures including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS).
James is a Staff Specialist at Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and Senior Lecturer with Griffith University School of Medicine. He consults privately at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital (SCUPH), Buderim Private Hospital and Noosa Hospital.
James is a nationally recognised pulmonary hypertension expert. He is a clinical investigator for PH trials and has published research in the field in multiple high impact respiratory journals.
